So, here's my experience with
Ryan. This was an order for what should have been 400 SuperRaptors and 100 rounds of Illuminator at the time, which got knocked down to 400 protectors instead. I also paid for 500 rounds of SS197 and SS195 at one point since
Ryan promised me a better price than what was commercially available elsewhere at the time. This order took a little over 9 months to fill and was only filled because I finally contacted Lisa and Jay directly in regards to it. I included one of the e-mail chains for those that are interested in reading it… There are others, but this one has the basic jist of the story, and you can see some of the fabrications directly. The different lies and or excuses are listed below.
Jury Duty
Wife Miscarriage
Seizure of Shipment at the Canadian Border
Wife was suppose to send it out
Food Poisoning
Promised Extra Rounds and Variety Packs that I never received
An extra 100 rounds for my troubles
Waiting on Bullets ( got this excuse several times on the phone and e-mail)
Told me he was stationed in Korea while in the Army, retired as a CW3, was also told that he was an MP. Never heard that he was a nuc tech or some of the other MOS's that he claimed.
Now in
Ryan's defense, I did change my order at one time with him, but that doesn't excuse the excuses that were handed out each time I contacted him like they were candy. I finally gave up in May after being told of his wife's supposed miscarriage. We went on Vacation for two weeks to Alaska, and then I was traveling every other week to Germany or Norway for my day job so I just got busy. It wasn't until September that I contacted Lisa that my order finally shipped!
If you want to read the e-mail train, start at the bottom and work your way up....too busy this morning to switch it around manually...
________________________________________________________________________________
Ryan,
My sympathies for you and your family's lose. I hope that physically your wife is well. Only time will heal the emotional scars from such a tragic event.
Don't worry about my order. Take care of your family first and foremost at your end. I just wanted to keep you abreast of things from my end.

Charles, I really don't know.
I got stuck on Jury duty and asked the missus to take care of stuff;
unfortunately stuff didn't get taken care of. As soon as I got off jury duty, I had to go to Chicago to have one of my reloading machines fixed; it broke and it set me back weeks on production.
I'll find out from the missus what's going on and I'll get back to you asap.

This ok or do you want me to add in some gravy to cover shipping to me

Shipping will be reduced; I'm ordering about 10,000 rounds of factory

We really don't have any 'cheap' plinking ammo; the cost of materials
and time keep us out of that market. SS195/197 would be the way to go.
Out of curiosity, what are you paying for those two loads? I can get
em' for less than $17.00 a box. If you're paying more, let me procure them for you and save some $$$.

It will be nice to have the Barnes for her for when she carries concealed. With that said, what does Elite have to offer for plinking ammo. Just looking for something that puts lead down range. If I provided brass, do you have anything that would be cheaper than buying 195 or 197 offthe shelf? Just curious.

Ryan, need to do an edit...
Wife wasn't happy with me buying more ammo, so need to compromise a bit. Lets go back with something more in along the lines of the original order.
300 rounds of Barnes at $45 a box, 6 boxes $270
200 rounds Tracer at $25 a box, 4 boxes $100
Sub Total = $370 -$37 (10%) = $333
Shipping = $12
Total = $350
I'll still send you the 500 rounds spent brass and the coin.
Sorry for changing things. My wife has yet to buy into the belief that
There is never enough ammo.
Thanks

Tell you what, I have a few battalion coins I picked up over the years.
I've got an extra one from my company in Korea, nickel plated with a
pretty cool demon skull in a CVC helmet on one side and a picture of the two Koreas on the back with a quote from the bible and Shakespeare.
I'll toss that in. Outside of that, we are kinda low on 'swag' in the
office. Everything is accounted for. We have a few 40mm grenade models floating around, but everyone of them has already been tagged into our inert munitions inventory, which sucks, because now they have to be destroyed when they are no longer being used as paperweights or
displays. I've got some 2nd ID patches still laying around at the
house, but figured if you were in Korea, you have got have a few of
these already.
I'll make sure I keep the tracer brass and send it to you. No promises
on how quickly that will get used up, but at the very least I'll make
sure I get you another 500 rounds of brass to make us even. I
appreciate you providing what you are as it is.
Thanks again! Good talking with you too.

Looks good.
Also, know that I'm not charging you for the brass on the tracers.
Consider it a belated Christmas gift. All I ask is that you return it
after you're done shooting it. I can't sell it to anyone else, but
it'll work fine for my own shooting stock. When people order ammo
without their own brass to load, we normally charge an additional $5.00
per 50. However, like I said, this time its gratis.
And, if you find some 'swag' from your office, I'll throw in a 'try
everything' package. I'm primarily interested in thinks like Battalion
Crests, coins, unit patch's, etc.
It was nice to speak with you today; I hope to do that again sometime.

Ryan,
Just wanted to recap what we talked about on the phone.
Paypal -
rjherle@gmail.com
Address - 650 S. 70th Street, Omaha, NE 68106
500 Rounds Tracer - $22.50 per box x 10 boxes = $225 (10% discount
already factored in)
500 Rounds Barnes - $45 per 50 rounds = $405 ($450 - $45(10% discount))
Shipping - $12
Total $642
I think when we talked I said a total of $687 but didn't account for the%10 percent discount on the Barnes. I apologize for the mix up.
Let me know if I missed anything.
Thanks

Hey
Ryan,
Belated Merry Christmas (or happy holiday's if that's your fancy)
Anyway, got a chance to do some shooting this weekend. Had to resight
in my PS90 so think I have the 500 spent cartridges. Might actually
have more, haven't done a count, but I know I've gone through 800 rounds now in the past 2 months.
Anyway, wanted to find out where to ship this stuff to and get a price quote from you. I'm interested in the round you mention below. I would like at least 400 rounds of this and 100 rounds of tracer.
I can put the brass in the mail tomorrow. It isn't cleaned, but I saw
your post on simple green, and I'll see about cleaning it up a bit
before I package it up.
Thanks

Thanks for the response, Albert.
Besides what we offer regularly, we have all kinds of custom loads. If
you can think of it, we can load it. Right now one of my favorites is a 45 grain Barnes solid bullet at 2080 fps from the pistol. It'll achieve 2550 from the 16" carbine. It is the most accurate round I've ever loaded in this caliber, and its penetration through armor and into flesh surpasses the SS190 buy 25%. Unfortunately its an expensive bullet; my price just for the projectile is $33.00 per hundred. However, if you're looking for superior-to-ss190 performance, this is the round you want. And commercially is the same cost as the SS190 is to LEO and .MIL; or,$45.00 per 50.
Anyway, let me know when you're ready to go, and I'll make some room on
the loading line.
Best regards!

Ryan for the response on the 5-7 forum...
I've got about 250 or so spent 5.7 cartridges at the moment.
I'll probably have another 250 or so by the end of the year. Planning
on doing a lot of shooting here real soon, and have 2000 rounds of ss197 I got from CMMG not to long ago.
When I get 500 spent cartridges together, I'll drop you a line
and see how you want me to send them to you. As to a round, looks like
the Super rapTOR would be the round I'm interested in. I would also
like a few tracer rounds just for goofs and giggles. My wife is
currently over in Iraq and has yet to use her M-4 outside of the range,
so has yet to see a tracer go off a gun she has fired, and probably
won't before she heads back to the states. So, probably what I'd be
looking for would be 100 rounds of IlluminaTOR and then 400 rounds of
Super rapTOR. Understand your out of the rapTOR, but I'm in no hurry.
Honestly, this will probably sit in the safe for that 'just in case'
scenario.
Thanks!
