This cartridges pushes a 45 grain Barnes TSX FB bullet at more than 1,900

fps from the pistol (375 Ft.Lbs of energy), and 2,500 fps from the PS90,

EA  Practice 5.7x28 pellet adapter!

 

Since the inception on the 5.7x28 fans of the round have asked, demanded, petitioned, begged, and pleaded for an inexpensive practice round. Well Elite Ammunition has taken one giant step in the direction. EA is excited to announce their new 5.7x28 adapter patent pending. This adapter allows you to create your own inexpensive practice rounds.

 

 

Here is what it is. The EA adapter looks like a standard piece of 5.7x28 brass. At first glance you notice it is made from stainless steel. Then you notice the large rifle primer pocket.

 

Here is how it works. First you use your hand priming tool of choice and seat a large rifle primer in the pocket. Then you select your projectile. Any 22cal air rifle pellet will work. Also to make things more interesting you can use 22cal 30gr muzzle loader lead bullets from Midway. Seat the pellet by hand by simply pushing it in. If you suffer from OCD it’s ok to seat the pellet on your loading press. Then load the round like you would any other and blast away. If you use a Lead free primer you can safely shoot indoors as long as you backstop can stop a high end air rifle pellet. Of course we recommend eye and hearing protection and save the beer for later. We didn’t but you should. Use a punch to knock out the old primer and repeat.  .223 version to follow.
