Lisa, Thanks for the free Cup of Joe. Little things like free Cups of Joe go a long way when you live day to day here in Afghanistan just counting down the days (It's too early for me to do that) until you are home with family and friends. This is my second deployment since 2005, and being away from the family for an entire year (missing holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, kids growing up) never gets easy. Staying in contact with them through the phone or skype (great tool) is nice. It's like I never left home; not that I want to get use to calling my wife or seeing my kids everyday that way. There are a lot of people around the globe praying for our safety and the safe return of each and every Soldier. We truly appreciate those that are with us instead of against us. It allows us to focus on our mission and realize why we are here. I hope you and your family have a wonderful week, stay safe, thank you very much for the gift, and God bless. CPT Lang
